Bose Updates Noise Cancelling Headphones With Google Assistant

Bose has announced a new version of its popular QC35 wireless noise cancelling headphones with support for Google Assistant.

Confirming earlier leaks, the QC35 II are the first headphones to integrate Google Assistant, which is accessed using a new ‘Action Button’ on the left earcup.

All the usual functionalities of Google Assistant, such as asking questions or requesting a particular song, are supported with a press and hold of the Action Button.

“The QC35 is already the world’s most celebrated wireless headphone, and a survival tool for modern life,” said Brian Maguire, director, Bose on-the-go products.

“We didn’t change anything that people already love – with Google Assistant built-in, and new choices for what you hear, we made it better,” Maguire said.

In light of this, the QC35 II features the same noise cancellation, audio performance and 20-hour battery life as the previous model, along with the same volume and multi-function button on the right earcup.

Increased control over the noise cancellation settings has been added compared to the previous model. Noise cancelling can be kept at its standard ‘high’ setting, turned down to ‘low’ or turned off completely using the Bose Connect App.

The functionality of the Action Button can also be switched to adjust these settings using the app.

Bose’s QC35 II are available now in black and silver for RRP $499.95.
